8.15.13 FOOTBALL: Cavs' Football Opens Karras Era with Edinboro at Home
(NORTH CANTON, OH) Walsh University opens the Ted Karras era on Thursday night, September 5, when they play host to Edinboro University at Fawcett Stadium. The Cavs and Edinboro, meeting for the first time, kick-off at 7 pm. Free tickets will be available at the Giant Eagle store in Washington Square and at Sonic at Washington Square one week before the game.
Karras took over for Jim Dennison, who resigned last year after 18 years at the helm. Karras led Marian University to the NAIA National Championship last year.
Walsh plays five home games at Fawcett Stadium. The Cavs host Northwood University in their Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opener on September 14. Walsh also welcomes GLIAC opponents Ferris State University on September 28, Ohio Dominican University (Homecoming) on October 5 and Ashland University on October 19.
All games will be broadcast live on WNPQ, 95.9 FM.
