8.23.12 WOMEN'S SOCCER: Walsh Women's Soccer Tabbed 11th In GLIAC

BAY CITY, Mich. -- Walsh has been picked 11th in the 14-team Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC)  by the head women's soccer coaches.  Walsh received 52 points.  The Cavs are beginning their first year as a member of the GLIAC and open the season at home on Friday, August 31 against Roberts Wesleyan at 7 pm.

Second year head coach Dave Renard led the Cavs to a 13-5 overall record last year and an 8-3 mark, and third place finish, in the American Mideast Conference.

Grand Valley State University, which has won the last seven league titles, it gunning for its 10th-straight NCAA Tournament bid.  Ohio Dominican University was picked second, Ashland University third and Tiffin University fourth.
