9.14.12 MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: Cavs Fourth at National Catholic Meet; Justin Groubert Third

Men's Cross Country, 2012-09-14

(South Bend, IN) Walsh (21-3) finished a strong fourth, in a field of 21 schools, at the division two National Cross Country Invitational held at the University of Notre Dame.  Aquinas College finished first, Lewis University second and Loras College third.

Justin Groubert (So., Hartville, OH/Lake) paced the Cavs with a third place finish in a time of 25:16.6.  Jordan Groubert (Sr., Hartville, OH/Lake) followed with a 22nd place finish in a time of 26:23.0.  Justin Eddy (Jr., Perry, OH/HS) was right behind Groubert with a 24th place finish in a time of 26:23.5.  Jackson Zaremba (So., Canton, OH/GlenOak) finished 45th (26:54.3), Matt Roshak (So., North Canton, OH/Hoover) ws 52md (27:07.9) and Matt Thiessen (Fr., Navarre, OH/Perry) placed 74th (27:42.7).

The Cavs are idle until the All-Ohio Championships on September 29.
