9.14.12 WOMEN'S GOLF: Jackson Medalist; Cavs Win at Ursuline

Women's Golf, 2012-09-14

(Ursuline, OH) Sophomore Morgan Jackson (Uniontown, OH/Green) fired a 76 to finish as medalist, as the Cavs won the eight-team Ursuline College Fall Invitational.  The Cavs shot 324 and finished six strokes better than second place Bowling Green State University (330).  Notre Dame College (OH) finished third (357), Point Park University fourth (362) and host Ursuline fifth (365).

Jenny Tsangeos (So., Canton, OH/GlenOak) shot 80 and finished third, Katie Kohut (Sr., Twinsburg, OH/Walsh Jesuit) finished fourth with an 82 and Kayla Hardesty (Fr., Minerva, OH/Marlington) tied for tenth with an 86 as Walsh placed for golfers in the top ten.  Megan Hatfield (Fr., North Canton, OH/Jackson) tied for 32nd (99).

The Cavs are at Youngstown State University (Mill Creek GC) on Monday and Tuesday.
