9.16.12 MEN'S SOCCER: Bly Goal Gives Cavs Double-Overtime Win at Tiffin

After a heartbreaking defeat in overtime on Friday, Walsh came from behind to win a thrilling 2-1 decision in double overtime over hosting Tiffin on Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers improved to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the GLIAC. The Dragons fall to 1-3-1 and remain winless in conference action at 0-3.

Matt Bly (Sr., 5-10, Bellbrook, OH/HS) provided the game-winning goal in dramatic fashion as he scored on an assist from Juan Amaya (So., 6-3, Uniontown, OH/Green) with less than two minutes separating the teams from a 1-1 draw. It was his first goal of the season.

Tiffin scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute and took the 1-0 lead into halftime. Kain Melville (So., 6-2, Newcastle, England/Gateshead) was able to score the equalizer unassisted in the 54th minute.

Frank Sanabria (So., 5-11, North Ridgeville, OH/Elyria Catholic) received the start in goal and recorded four saves on the day.

Walsh will return home with a conference match against Notre Dame College on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
