9.17.12 WOMEN'S GOLF: Cavs Fourth After First Round at YSU

(Youngstown, OH) Walsh (7-0) is fourth, 23 strokes off the pace, after the first round of the 36-hole Youngstown State University Invitational being played at Mill Creek GC.  The University of Detroit Mercy shot 300 and lead second place Robert Morris University (306) by six strokes.  Host YSU is third (308), three strokes ahead of the Cavs.  Niagara University is fifth (316).

Morgan Jackson (Fr., Uniontown, OH/Green), who finished as medalist at the Ursuline College Fall Invitational this past weekend, is tied for fourth after an opening round 75.  Jenny Tsangeos (So., Canton, OH/GlenOak) carded a 77 and is tied for 10th.  Kayla Hardesty (Fr., Minerva, OH/Marlington) is tied for 17th (79), Meghan Hatfield (Fr., North Canton, OH/Jackson) is tied for 21st (80) and Katie Kohut (Sr., Twinsburg, OH/Walsh Jesuit) is tied for 28th (85).
