9.18.12 WOMEN'S GOLF: Cavs Finish Fourth at YSU Invite

(Youngstown, OH) Walsh (8-3) finished fourth in the Youngstown State Invitational, 32 strokes off the pace set by the University of Detroit Mercy who won the event with a total score of 609. Hosts Youngstown State finished with a score of 614. Robert Morris finished with a score of 617 for third place, and Niagara finished with a score of 646. The invitational was played at Mill Creek Golf Course.

Jenny Tsangeos (So., Canton, OH/GlenOak) led the Cavaliers with a score of 155 (77/78) and finished seventh overall. Kayla Hardesty Fr., Minerva, OH/Marlington) tied for 17th with a score of 160 (79/81). Morgan Jackson (Fr., Uniontown, OH/Green) finished tied for 19thwith a score of 161 (75/86). Meghan Hatfield, (Fr., North Canton,OH/Jackson) followed her with a score of 165 (80/85). Katie Kohut (Sr., Twinsburg, OH/Walsh Jesuit) rounded up the team scoring with a 172 and tied for 29thoverall. Amanda Griffin (So., Tallmadge, OH/HS) played individually and finished 31stwith a 175 (85/87).

The Cavaliers return to the links on Sunday when they travel to Lake Erie College to play at Fowlers Mill Golf Course.
