Women's Volleyball, 2013-09-21

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh had trouble out of the gates as Ohio Dominican swept the Cavaliers in straight sets by scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-22. The Cavs fall to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the GLIAC. The Panthers are now 6-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference. The two teams battled back and forth for the duration of the third set, but ODU pulled away late to take the set and match.

Paige Chandler (Sr., Cincinnati, OH/McNicholas) and Krissy Sokol (Sr., 5-9, Akron, OH/Hoban) led the Walsh attack with nine kills each, one shy of the match high. The offense had troubles with a strong ODU front line that generated 10 blocks on the afternoon.

Walsh continues a five-match home stand as it hosts Ferris State on Friday at 7 p.m.
