9.27.11 WOMEN'S GOLF: Cavs 5th at CSU

Kim Smith (Jr., Whitehouse, NJ/Hunterdon Central Regional) and Nikki Kulasa (Jr., Amherst, OH/Steele) paced Walsh University (14-4) as the Cavaliers finished fifth in the Cleveland State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. Both players tied for 14th overall with Smith scoring a 77 and an 82 for a two-day total of 159 and Kulasa hitting an 80 followed by a 79.
The Cavs finished with a team score of 644, three strokes better than the hosting Vikings and 10 strokes better than Youngstown State. Oakland ran away with the competition with a score of 602. Second place honors went to Bowling Green with a score of 640. Katy Collins (Jr., Youngstown, OH/Ursuline) finished tied for 21st overall with a score of 162 (87/75). Abbey Kimar (Jr., Canton, OH/Jackson) finished tied for 25th overall with a score of 164 (81/83) and Morgan Jackson (Fr., Uniontown, OH/Green) rounded out the Cavs with a score of 189 (93/96).
