9.29.12 VOLLEYBALL: Unbeaten Northwood Stops Cavs

Walsh dropped to 3-8 overall and to 1-5 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after falling in three sets to conference leader Northwood  University (11-3, 6-0) by the scores of 23-25, 14-25 and 17-25.  Walsh is home to Hillsdale College in GLIAC action tomorrow at 2 pm.

Walsh led throughout most of the first set, before falling 23-25.  Northwood raced to early leads in the following two sets in posting the sweep.  Brittany Morris (5-11, Sr., North Royalton, OH/Padua Franciscan) led Walsh with 12 kills.  Maria Grecol (5-8, Fr., Strongsville, OH/HS) added six kills.  Hannah Duran (5-9, SR., Grafton, OH/Midview) had 21 assists.
