9.29.12 VOLLEYBALL: Hillsdale Charges Past Cavs

Walsh dropped its second straight contest at home in straight sets by scores of 13-25, 23-25, and 19-25 to visiting Hillsdale in Alumni Arena Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers are now 3-9 overall and 1-6 in the GLIAC. The Chargers improve to 6-9 overall and 5-2 in the conference.

Julianne O’Donnell (Sr., 5-10, Willowick, OH/Lake Catholic) paced the Cavs’ offense with nine kills and was also led the team defensively with seven digs. Brittany Morris (Sr., 5-11, North Royalton, OH/Padua) also had a solid match up front with four blocks. Hannah Duran (Sr., 5-9, Elyria, OH/Midview) led the team in assists with 26.

Walsh returns to action on Friday as the Cavs continue their four-game home stand against Michigan Tech at 7 p.m.
