9.29.13 WOMEN'S GOLF: Tsangeos Finishes in Top 10 at Laker Invite

(ALLENDALE, Mich) – Walsh finished seventh out of 13 schools in the Gilda’s Club Laker Invitational hosted by Grand Valley State University on Saturday and Sunday. The Cavaliers had a two-day score of 686, five strokes more than sixth place Northwood and four strokes better than Ohio Dominican. The hosting Lakers won the even with a score of 627, edging out Ferris State by one stroke.

Jenny Tsangeos (Jr., Canton, OH/GlenOak) led the Cavs with a pair of 79-rounds for a total of 158. The score placed her in the top 10 as she tied for ninth individually.

Rounding out the top five for the Cavaliers were Raven Venegas (Fr., Lima, OH/Shawnee) with an 168, Paige Victor (Fr., Mentor, OH/HS) with a 179, Kayla Hardesty (So., Minerva, OH/Marlington) with a 181, and Meghan Hatfield (So., North Canton, OH/Jackson) with a 192.

The Cavaliers will hit the links again next weekend as they play at Ashland University on Saturday and Sunday.
