9.4.12 MEN'S SOCCER: Urbana Blanks Cavs in Opener

URBANA - OH  Urbana University (2-1) blanked Walsh (0-1) 3-0 in the Cavs season opener today.  The Blue Knights struck 33 seconds into the contest when Tyler Wason scored the first of his goals.  Urbana added a second goal 15 minutes into the contest and led 2-0 at the half.  Wason then tallied again at the 54:39 mark to give the Blue Knights some added insurance.

Urbana outshot Walsh 19-13.  Walsh keeper Mike Kelley (Sr., Chagrin Falls, OH/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) had seven saves. 

Walsh opens GLIAC play at Malone on Saturday at 3 pm.
