Women's Tennis, 2012-09-07
Walsh University fell on the road to Saginaw Valley State University 9-0 in what was the first GLIAC contest for the Cavaliers. It was also the first match of the year for Walsh (0-1, 0-1) and the Cardinals (1-0, 1-0).
Allison St. George (Sr., Boardman, OH/Cardinal Mooney) came the closest to earning a point for the Cavs as she forced Saginaw Valley State’s Meghan Woody to a tiebreaker but fell 6-3, 4-6, 10-6.
The Cavs won’t have much rest as they face Lake Superior State University tomorrow morning at 10. It will be the second of three-straight days of competition. Walsh will also play at Michigan Tech on Sunday.
