About the Museum
Mission
The mission of the Hoover Historical Center is to preserve the history and heritage of The Hoover Company and the Hoover family. Walsh University proudly serves as the proprietor of this historic site, the boyhood home of Hoover Company founder William Henry Hoover, an entrepreneur who revolutionized a household product. Located on original Hoover family farmland, the Center enriches the public about the Hoover legacy through tours of the Victorian farmhouse and further educates the global community as an information resource on this internationally known business. The Center additionally serves as an educational resource as the initial museum experience for students enrolled in the University's Museum Studies program.
