About Walsh > About Us

The Walsh University Leadership Institute is a new campus initiative that works to empower leadership among a wide cross-section of individuals. The underlying theme of the initiative is one of hope, as program planners and facilitators help participants see that they can indeed be in control of their own destiny. The program teaches the skills needed to help learners access the abundant opportunities and resources available, empowering new leaders with the ability to initiate and sustain change in their lives and in their world.

President Richard Jusseaume is the sixth president to lead Walsh University. He is actively involved in leadership development on the Walsh campus as well as in the surrounding communities. The Walsh University Leadership Institute was created under President Jusseaume's direction in 2002.

Janet M. Howard is the Executive Director of the Walsh University Leadership Institute. Janet has facilitated courses in Management, Business Computers, and Strategic Management for the Walsh School for Professional Studies Program (formerly I.D.E.A.L.) since 1999.
