If this is your first time logging on to MyWalsh, please read the instructions below. If you forget or need to reset your password, call the Help Desk at 330-244-HELP (4357).

PROCEDURES FOR SETTING UP AND USING WALSH UNIVERSITIES ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS:

*Note: A Walsh University student email account must be set up before access to other Walsh systems can be granted.

SETTING UP WALSH e-Mail

To set up a Walsh University email, you can access: https://mail.walsh.edu

The user name is not case sensitive, and is the first and last name in a continuous word with no spaces (example: JohnDoe).

• The initial password is WALSHu12 for anyone admitted after January 1, 2012, and it is case sensitive. You will be prompted to change at first login.
• The new password must be 6 or more characters and contain 3 of the following characteristics:
  • Uppercase letter
  • Lowercase letter
  • Number
  • Symbol
• You will not be able to use any part of your name in the password.

If you forget your password and/or need the password reset, you can contact the Help Desk at 330-244-4357.

MyWalsh

Once email access is established, you will be able to access your ECN/Sakai and Cavalier Center accounts from your MyWalsh page. Note: The user name and password for your MyWalsh page will be the same as your Walsh Email account.

MyWalsh is your starting point for Walsh digital Services. It will allow you to easily access systems such as:

• E-mail (See section 1)
• Cavalier Center (access to grades, schedules and billing) (See section 2)
• ECN/Sakai (course management system) (See section 3)
• Walsh University Library Services

In addition, other services are available such as:

• Off-campus P:Drive access (personal document storage)
• Walsh news

Section 1 - Logging into your Walsh University email

You will be able to access your Walsh University email through your MyWalsh account. Or, you will be able to access it from anywhere, with an internet connection, by going to https://mail.walsh.edu and entering your user name and password.

Section 2 - Cavalier Center

The Cavalier Center is an online, self-service area where you can access your grades, view your class schedules, change/register for, or drop classes, handle billing and financial aid issues. To log into the Cavalier Center you will use your Walsh University email user name and password. This area is password protected and, on first access attempt, you will be prompted to change the system default password to your personal password.

You will be able to access the Cavalier Center from your MyWalsh, or you will be able to access it from the link on the Walsh University homepage: https://banner-web.walsh.edu

Section 3 - ECN/Sakai Course Management System

ECN (electronic course network)/Sakai is an online resource available to all Walsh University students. Not all courses integrate the use of this software. It is web-based learning management software that allows students to perform a variety of course related activities. These activities include:

• Taking tests
• Turning in homework
• Holding Discussions
• Building wiki's
• Checking grades
• Obtaining a syllabus
• Viewing announcements

ECN/Sakai can be accessed through your MyWalsh page, or at the bottom of the Walsh University home page at www.walsh.edu.*

*Once you login to ECN, there is tutorial access at the top left of the page.
