The Stafford Loan application process may begin once a student has been officially awarded a financial aid package for the academic year – a notification is mailed to the student when the award is available to view on-line via the Cavalier Center.

Once on-line, the student will have the opportunity to accept or decline his/her Direct Stafford Loan(s). If it is accepted, the Financial Aid Office’s records are updated and an electronic loan application is generated.

Since the Direct Loan program is new to Walsh University for 2009-10, all borrowers will be required to electronically sign a Master Promissory Note.
