Applying for a Stafford Loan

Returning students who have borrowed Stafford Loan funds at Walsh University are not required to complete a paper Loan Request Form (New borrowers are required, however.)

The Stafford Loan application process may begin once a student has been officially awarded a financial aid package for the academic year – postcard are sent when the award is available to view on-line via the Cavalier Center.

Once on-line, the returning student will have the opportunity to accept or decline his/her Stafford Loan(s). If it is accepted, the Financial Aid Office’s records are updated and an electronic loan application is automatically generated. Assuming the student’s file is complete, there is no further action necessary to process the Stafford Loan.
