Walsh University will host Msgr. Eduardo Chavez from the University of Mexico and international recording artist Dana Scallon from Ireland on Thursday, March 25, 2010. The evening event celebrates Saint Juan Diego in honor of the Feast of the Annunciation.
Events will begin with a Hispanic festival with varied refreshments, music and dance at Walsh University’s gymnasiums in the Cecchini Center. Msgr. Chavez and Dana will offer a rosary in English and Spanish and later Chavez will conduct an optional Spanish mass. Chavez’s main presentation will be “The Story of Our Lady of Guadalupe,” and the singer/songwriter Dana will perform.During the evening, both Chavez and Dana will be available to sign CDs and books.St. Raphael’s bookstore will staff a table of merchandise.
The March 25 event is co-sponsored by Walsh University and St. Anthony’s Parish in Canton, OH. It is also part of the university’s World Week from March 22-26.

The Barrette Business and Community Center is located directly west of Betzler Auditorium. Access to Betzler and Barrette is best off Market via the parking lot directly behind the Don & Ida Betzler Social and Behavioral Sciences Center. The North Canton Playhouse is located at 525 7th St., NW, North Canton, OH 44720 (Hoover High School Campus).
