Ashley Norman (Reid)
Ashley (Norman) Reid (Women's Basketball,
2000-2004) earned four letters on the hardwood and was honored by
the AMC all four years while also leading the Cavs in scoring four
times. She was named to the AMC's All-Freshman Team after averaging
12.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and shooting 51% from the field and 79%
from the line. Her sophomore year was even better as she earned
first-team All-AMC honors for first of three consecutive seasons.
Norman averaged 16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, shot 55% from the field,
and 80% from the line. She averaged 15.7 points and 7.1 rebounds
her junior season while shooting 54% from the floor and 76% from
the line. In her senior year, Walsh would win 20 games and make
their third straight playoff appearance as Ashley averaged 16.3
points, 7.8 rebounds, shot 50% from the floor, and 77% from the
charity stripe. She led the Cavs in rebounding in each of her final
three years and is fifth on the all-time list with 827. She is
second in career scoring (1,725), second in career free throws made
(411), and sixth in field goal percentage (.500).
