John Hippley - Assistant Coach

John Hippley begins his fifth season at Walsh as a part-time assistant coach. John served on the staff of the late Steve Loy four seasons ago, and is in his fourth season under Coach Young.

Before coming to Walsh, Hippley was a varsity assistant at Warren G. Harding High School. His previous stops include stays in the collegiate ranks, as well as high school ranks. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University, Hippley was named Head Coach at Jackson-Milton High School in North Jackson, Ohio in 1987. He served one season as an assistant coach at the University of Detroit in 1988; was head coach at Southern Local High School in Salineville, Ohio from 1990-93, and served as head coach at Steubenville Catholic and Bristolville. Hippley, who is single, resides in Columbiana, Ohio. He has taught introduction to landscaping for the last 13 years at Marlington High School in Alliance.
