Director of Campus Ministry

Miguel Chavez is the Director of Campus Ministry. Appointed in the summer of 2004, Miguel has been active with Walsh University as a student and now continues in Campus Ministry in service to holistically enriching students, staff and faculty. Miguel is a resident of Stark County and has been very active in area church, ministry, and educational programs. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Walsh University in Theology and Pastoral Ministry. Miguel also serves as an adjunct professor in Theology.

Campus Minister,
Coordinator for Student Outreach

Mary Niedenthal serves as Campus Minister and Student Outreach Coordinator. Having been with Student Outreach since the fall of 2005, she previously served as Director of Religious Education and Youth Minister for St. Barbara Massillon and St. Clement Navarre. She is a member of the Stark County Catholic Consortium, Diocese of Youngstown Council for Catechesis and Western Stark County Task Force. Mary graduated with a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry and Theology from Walsh and is currently finishing her M.A. in Theology.

Campus Minister,
Peacemaker Coordinator

Elise Francis returns full-time to the Walsh community as a member of the campus ministry team. Elise graduated from Walsh in 2007 with a B.S. in Adolescent/Young Adult Integrated Science Education. As a student, Elise was actively involved in Campus Ministry, Agape retreats, women’s soccer , the honors program , and Learning Resource Center. She spent a year as the Youth Ministry Coordinator at St. Paul Catholic Parish in North Canton and is currently pursuing her Masters in Theology.
