Britt Cooper is an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Fine and Performing Arts at Walsh University. He has a M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of Alabama and a D.M.A. in Choral Conducting from the University of South Carolina.

 

Dr. Cooper directs three choral ensembles: the Walsh University Chorale, the Walsh Chamber Singers, and the Stark Community Chorus Sponsored by Walsh University. Through his career, Dr. Cooper has also directed collegiate choirs in Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee.  He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association) and won Second Place in their National Graduate Conducting Competition in 2003. 

 

Under Dr. Cooper's direction, the Choral program at Walsh will extend its musical mission beyond campus and perform throughout the United States, with international tours tentatively scheduled for 2010 and 2012.
