CHD 637 Consultation, Collaboration and Leadership 3 sem. hrs.
This course is designed to provide an overview of the major consultation theories and techniques and to help students develop consultation and collaboration skills which may be applied in the schools, community agencies, or other settings. The course will explore consultant characteristics, sociocultural factors and legal and ethical considerations. Students will also learn about the qualities, principles, skills, and styles of effective leadership. Students will learn how to effectively work with the schools, community, students, and families. Prerequisites: BSC 560, CHD 602, 603, 610, 612, 620, 624, 626, and 740.
