ENG 315-3 The Legacies of Custer and Crazy Horse 3 sem. hrs.
HI/DV: Using the lives of George Armstrong Custer and the Lakota warrior Crazy Horse as its starting point, this course examines, through the fiction, poetry, and autobiography of American Indian writers, the origins of and the continuing conflicts between Euro-American and American Indian cultures. The course explores the themes and motifs that have preoccupied American Indian authors since the late 19th century. Fulfills Diversity and Heritage I requirement. ENG 102 or HON 103 competency required. Next offered F-13, F-15.
