HON 103H Honors Interdisciplinary Research and Writing 3 sem. hrs.
Geared to the special academic and interdisciplinary requirements of the Honors Program, this course provides an introduction to interdisciplinary research and writing and to the programs emphasis on the theme of "Creativity: Bridging Imagination and Analysis." Students learn the principles of scholarly writing and close-textual analysis, including the ability to summarize, paraphrase, annotate, document, and critically interpret primary and secondary sources. Required of all students in the general honors program this course fulfills the Eng 102 general education requirement and is a prerequisite for all subsequent English courses. Offered every fall and spring semester.
