SOC 304 Urban Sociology 3 sem. hrs.
DV/HI: Study of class, race, gender, lifestyle, economics, culture, politics and environmental considerations in the development of metropolitan areas including cities, suburbs, recreational areas, small towns, industrial parks, malls, and highways. Examines a select group of urban-suburban-small town problems: poverty, housing, crime, violence, racism. Third world urbanization also studied.
