Athletics > Dayna Daltorio Dayna DaltorioDayna Daltorio Dayna Daltorio has signed a NAIA National Letter of Intent to continue her athletic and academic career at Walsh University in the fall of 2008. Dayna is a 5-8 outside hitter from New Middletown, Ohio and Cardinal Mooney High School. Daltorio earned 12 letters while attending Cardinal Mooney, including four in volleyball, four in basketball, and four in track. She is a two-time First Team All-District Selection for Division II and a three-time First Team All-Conference selection. Dayna also earned Second Team All-Conference during her freshman season. Daltorio led her team to Conference Champs three out of her four seasons at Cardinal Mooney. Dayna was also a standout in basketball and track. She earned First Team All-Conference three years in a row and Honorable Mention NEO her junior and senior seasons of basketball. In track, Daltorio earned First Team All-Conference and was a regional semifinalist in the 4x4 her junior year. She was also a member of the Conference Champs her freshman and sophomore seasons. Dayna is the daughter of Dominick and Marilyn Daltorio. Dayna is also a member of the National Honors Society and earned Outstanding Student in Drama and Psychology. She plans on majoring in Education and Communication while attending Walsh University. Head Coach, Singleton, says about Daltorio, "We are very excited to have Dayna a Cavalier. She is an extremely athletic and energetic player that will add immediate depth to our outside and ball control. She has so much untapped talent due to the fact that she has never played club before, so I anticipate Dayna to grow tremendously as a player in her four years here at Walsh. Dayna is also bright in the classroom and just a wonderful person to be around." |
