Doug Meyer
Doug Meyer (Men's Basketball, 1993-98/GlenOak HS) lettered four times for the late Steve Loy and joins teammate Bob Bolden for 2008 Wall of Fame induction. Meyer was a scoring and rebounding force inside for the Cavs, finishing second in career points (1,894) and third in career rebounding (985). He averaged 13.6 points, shot .529 from the field and 6.6 rebounds as a freshman. As a sophomore, Meyer earned honorable mention All-Mid-Ohio Conference honors after averaging 14.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and shooting .526 from the field. In Walsh's Final Four year (1995-96), Doug earned second team All-MOC honors after averaging 13.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and shooting .532 from the floor. Meyer played only two games in 1996-97 due to a bad back which required season ending surgery. He came back the following season to average 13.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, while shooting a career best .559 from the floor. He was named first team All-MOC. Meyer is also ranked second in career field goals (827) and first in career attempts (1,542).
