Dr. McCallum has over 16 years of service to the physical therapy profession. Her experience includes positions as a clinician, clinical educator and academic educator.
Dr. McCallum earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from Ohio University, her Master of Science degree in higher education administration, and her PhD in education with an emphasis in curriculum and instructional studies, both from the University of Akron. She is a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. McCallum has held the position of Director of Clinical Education at Walsh University since 1999. In this capacity she coordinates the clinical education component of the physical therapy curriculum. She also teaches practice management issues related to professional practice and health care business management, as well as clinical coursework involving the integument system, community health issues and student service projects. Prior to joining Walsh University, she practiced physical therapy as a clinical manager specializing in geriatric rehabilitation.
Dr. McCallum maintains involvement within the profession through serving on the executive board of the East Central District of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association, and as the Ohio Physical therapy Association’s faculty liaison.
