December 2008/January 2009

Students will explore the history and culture of the people of El Salvador while being challenged to gain a global perspective in their understanding of the theology, sociology, politics, and economics that has formed the lives of the Salvadorian People. Through the experience of “being there” the student will have an opportunity to be engaged in the diversity of a people whose lives provide a richness and depth in the contemporary understanding of the human community in the 21st Century.

Visits to local schools, clinics, and religious sites offer hands-on learning as students interact with the “community called church.”
