SUMMARY:Matthew and Luke on Jesus
DESCRIPTION:
From Christmas the Calvary, Matthew and Luke's portraits of Jesus dominate the Christian imagination. It is these evangelists who most explicitly locate Jesus' life, death and resurrection within the context of Sacred Scripture, linking Israel's story to the story of the Church. It is through their artistry that we encounter some of the best-known Gospel passages: the nativity, the temptations, the Sermon on the Mount, and more.

Come join Chris Seeman of Walsh University for a seven-week exploration of Matthew and Luke on Jesus. Each hour-long presentation will focus on a particular story or theme common to their Gospels:

This series is part of Walsh University's Lifelong Learning Academy, which encourages and recognizes ongoing adult study by offering stimulating, high level courses and experiences to the general community. Lectures are free and open to the public. They will be held in Room 108 of the Religious Education Center (located in the lower level of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel).
