First in Higher Education: The College and Career Choices of 13 First Ladies of the United States

Of the 44 Presidencies of the United States, only 13 First Ladies have held college degrees. Through objects, images, and interpretive text, the exhibition explores how each of these remarkable women used her education to pursue a career of her own choosing. This exhibition is a collaborative program of the National First Ladies' Library and the Museum Studies Program at Walsh University.

This exhibition is free and open to the public. It runs September 19 through December 2 at Walsh University's Birk Center for the Arts, Atrium Gallery.
