Mission

The First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) is designed to help students make a seamless transition from high school to college living. The program provides a network of support systems and engaging programs specifically geared toward helping students become well-oriented members of the Walsh University community. The First Year Residential Experience is committed to creating an environment that will allow students to thrive academically and socially creating a successful pathway throughout their collegiate experience.

Objectives

Provide opportunities for the development of skills and habits for higher learning.Develop highly engaging floor communities through increased interaction by Residence Life staff.Implement programming specifically geared toward FYRE themes and the Walsh University mission.Expose first-year students to resources available on the Walsh University campus.
