Graduate Procedures

GRADUATE PROCEDURES

  • Graduate students may register on-line by accessing the Cavalier Center online. To register on-line, the student must obtain an alternate PIN from their assigned academic advisor and resolve any Holds that may prevent registration. Check registration appointments on the Office of the Registrar's Web site or to view your assigned registration date.

    OR 

    Obtain A form from the Web site, www.walsh.edu. Click on Registrar, Graduate Registration Form. 

    CALL
    330-490-7365 to reserve a place in class. You will be asked to provide your name,address, telephone number and social security number. [This is only a reservation]. Your place in the class will be reserved, and you will need to process the official registration before the first class meeting.

    Summer and Fall reservations and registration begin March 27. 


Graduate Program -Specific Information

COUNSELING & HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (M.A.)

  • Dr. Linda Barclay is the Director of the Counseling and Human Development program. You may contact her at 330-490-7264. Please contact your academic advisor for help in course selection.
     
  • Students must be admitted to the Counseling and Human Development program to register for classes.
  • The Miller's Analogy Test is required by all individuals to enter this program. Call 330-490-7380 to set up your testing appointment. 
  • Comprehensive Exam applications are available in the Hannon Center office at 330-490-7325. The Comprehensive Exam fee is $50.

EDUCATION (M.A.) 

  • For advising and program information, contact Dr. Gary Jacobs, Director of the MAED program, at 330-490-7336. 
  • For licensure information contact Janet DeVine at 330.490.7385.
  • If an admissions test is required (when the undergrad GPA is below 3.0), we suggest the Miller's Analogy Test. Call 330-490-7380 to set up your testing appointment.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (M.B.A.) 

  • Therese Maskulka, Director of the MBA program, is the advisor for all graduate Business Administration students. You may contact her at 330-490-4690. 
  • You may register prior to your company's reimbursement. 
  • GMAT exam for this program is an admissions requirement for all students. Information booklets and exam dates are available to the Walsh community. 

PHYSICAL THERAPY (M.S.)     

  • Dr. Chris Petrosino is the Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy. You may contact him at 330-490-7370. 
  • All Physical Therapy students are assigned a faculty academic advisor.
  • The program consists of six consecutive semesters (two years; year-round); intensive training in basic science, clinical science, teaching and research; coursework combined with 26 weeks of professional work experience. 
  • Admission each August, restricted to 24 students 
  • The Graduate Registration Form does not apply to the Physical Therapy program.
