The Jackson Family

Carlitta is a single mother of five children ranging in ages from four to fourteen years old. There are three boys and two girls in the family. The family resides in public housing and there are a number of issues that make their housing situation inadequate including: space limitations, drains that back up and a furnace that doesn't work properly. The family utility bills exceed fifty percent of their income.

Carlitta has a long-time, steady job as a cashier at a local grocery store. Quiet and serious by nature, she is somewhat shy around new people, however she has proved herself to be a strong, hard and dependable worker.

Carlitta is justifiably proud of her five children who excel at school, and her dream is to provide a safer environment for those children waway from the problems of public housing.
