Head Coach - Dave Renard

Walsh University Vice President and Director of Athletics Dale Howard has announced that Dave Renard will take over as the head coach of the Cavaliers' women's soccer program. Renard takes over for his wife, Sara, who served as head coach the last two years.

Renard begins his first season as head coach and his third overall as part of the program. He served the previous two years as an assistant on Sara's staff. Last year, he helped coach the soccer team to an 11-6 record overall and a 5-5 conference mark. Renard also served as an assistant coach in softball the past two seasons.

He previously served as an assistant soccer coach at both Stow High School and Cuyahoga Falls High School. Previously, he worked as a financial operations manager at Xpress Loan Servicing.
Renard played baseball and soccer at Northern York High School in Harrisburg, Pa. He lettered in soccer at Malone College, while earning MVP honors. He earned his BA from Malone in business administration in 2004.

"I am honored to accept the women's head coaching position at Walsh," said Renard. "We have a very strong nucleus of players returning which should put us in good shape this season and as we make our transition to NCAA Division II. It has been extremely rewarding to coach with Sara, but at this time she feels the time has come to turn full attention to our young children."

David and Sara reside in Stow, with their daughter, Mia, and son, Tyler David, born May 6.
