Heather Waechter is in her second year as a full-time assistant coach. She returned to the program last year after spending the 2010-11 academic year working in the Walsh University Admissions Department. Heather served on Coach Wartluft’s staff the previous two years as a graduate assistant and earned her MBA in integrated marketing communications.

Waechter played four years at Malone College (University), graduating with her bachelor of science degree in sports management. She was twice named to the NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete teams.

Heather lettered four times in basketball and volleyball at Shelby High School and still holds the school record for career and single season three-pointers.

Heather and her husband Matt reside in Canton. This past August the Waechter’s were blessed by the birth of their first child, a daughter, Ava.
