Human Subjects Review
Any research activity, regardless of its scale or scope, conducted at or sponsored by Walsh University, which involves human subjects is subject to the guidelines established in the Human Subject Review Policy and is subject to review by the Human Subjects Review Committee. Students and Faculty should be aware that the policy applies to; interviews, tests, observations, and inquiries designed to elicit or obtain nonpublic information about individuals or groups. If you intend to engage in these activities as part of research, be sure to review the Human Subject Review Policy, which available in the file gallery at the right as well as in Walsh Library. Please allow sufficient time for review of your study and research instruments by the Human Subject Review Committee. Students, please confer with your instructor.
Steps to Complete the Human Subjects Review Process
- Complete IRB Tutorial and save and print out certificate of completion to submit with completed application. (Please note that you will need to register to complete the tutorial. Applications without a certificate of completion will not be accepted.)
- Download and complete application, available in the file gallery at the right. (Please be aware that incomplete applications will not be accepted.)
- Email application and all attachments to HSR@walsh.edu. In addition, please send one hard copy of the entire application with all applicable signatures to the HSR chair at 143 Betzler.

Submission Deadlines and Meeting Dates
