Human Subjects Review

Any research activity, regardless of its scale or scope, conducted at or sponsored by Walsh University, which involves human subjects is subject to the guidelines established in the Human Subject Review Policy and is subject to review by the Human Subjects Review Committee. Students and Faculty should be aware that the policy applies to; interviews, tests, observations, and inquiries designed to elicit or obtain nonpublic information about individuals or groups. If you intend to engage in these activities as part of research, be sure to review the Human Subject Review Policy available in the Walsh Library or click here to review policies online. Please allow sufficient time for review of your study and research instruments by the Human Subject Review Committee. STUDENTS, PLEASE CONFER WITH YOUR INSTRUCTOR. STEPS TO COMPLETE THE HUMAN SUBJECTS REVIEW PROCESS

Step 1 - Complete IRB Tutorial and save and print out certificate of completion to submit with completed application - Click here  *(Please note that you will need to register to complete the tutorial. Applications without a certificate of completion will not be accepted)

Step 2 - Complete application - Click here *(Please be aware that incomplete applications will not be accepted)

Step 3 - E-mail completed application and certificate of completion to Dr. Leigh Murray lmurray@walsh.edu or call 330.490.7259. *(Students must obtain appropriate signatures for submission of their application)
