Admissions Status: We are now accepting applications for the Class of 2014 with enrollment beginning in August 2011. Please refer to the Admissions Process link on the bottom right for more details as well as the requirements listed below.

The Division of Physical Therapy adheres to the non-discrimation policy established by the university:

In consideration of the above policy persons with bachelor’s degrees from accredited colleges who meet the prerequisites established by the Division of Physical Therapy are eligible to apply. Candidates who demonstrate promising scholastic ability along with personal and professional potential, will be considered for admission.

 

Requirements

 

Specific application requirements include the following:

 

B.S. or B.A. degree with an undergraduate overall GPA of 3.0 or greater

• Transcripts from all former institutions attended

• GRE scores to standards (quantitative, verbal, analytical writing)

• Three letters of recommendation (two academic; one professional)

• TOEFL score (international students only)

• Exposure to the field of physical therapy and completion of 3 observation forms from 3 different settings (minimum 8 hours total in each setting).

• Application form (rolling admissions until class is filled)

• On-Site Interview (by invitation)

• On-site writing sample (by invitation)

An applicant may major in any undergraduate area, but must successfully complete the following course prerequisites with a GPA of 3.0 or higher:

We evaluate prerequisite courses taken at other institutions through review of course syllabi.  The requirements listed above represent semester credit hours.  If your course work was designated as quarter credit hours, convert your quarter credits to semester credits to ensure that your preparation meets these requirements. In order to convert quarter hours to semester hours, divide the quarter hours by 1.5. (Example: 4 QH/1.5 = 2.6 semester hours).
