Examine Ugandan history, traditions, social institutions, and present challenges for development in this serivce and relection-oriented immersion experience.

SOC 206-A Cross-Cultural Issues in Education (T1, Diversity, and Service Learning)
Students may enroll in two 3-credit courses while in Uganda. Walsh students will take classes alongside Ugandan students in the mornings, while spending afternoons on site visits.
Site Visits: Meeting Point International, Shrine of the Partyrs, Kasubi Tombs, Source of the Nile, African Craft Village, Kisubi Hospital, MildMay AIDS Treatment Center, Mbabaali Memorial School, and Ndere Troupe
