Internships

What do you want?  What are your goals and interests?
You may want to take one or more vocational assessment tests available through the Career Center. You should also conduct research into career fields of interest by meeting with a Career Center staff member. The Career Center has various materials and resources for you to investigate. Your academic advisor and professors may also have career information specific to your major.

Meet with faculty advisors and internship coordinators.
Meet with your academic advisor to plan academic prerequisites or to discuss necessary prep work that may be required prior to beginning the internship. Students who wish to pursue the possibility of obtaining credit for their internship experience MUST contact the appropriate faculty member to obtain approval and registration information prior to beginning an internship experience. The Walsh Career Center does not approve internships for credit.

The following is a list of identified internship coordinators for each department. (Partial listing below)

Education: Janet Devine
Business: Mary Ann Sponseller
Communications: Lee Horrisberger
Behavioral Science: Dr. Penny Bove
Sciences: Dr. Ann Caplea
Political Science and The Washington Center (all majors): Dr. Koop Berry
