Is there a nurse or doctor on campus during the daytime hours?

The University Health Center has a nurse on staff Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. She can provide over-the-counter medicines, first aid treatment, flu shots, allergy shots, the HBV series, as well as doctor referrals. A doctor is available on campus two to three days a week and is able to call in prescriptions if necessary. There is a hospital within 10 minutes of campus as well as a stat care unit for any emergency situations. The University does offer students the option of purchasing health insurance if needed.
