Jaime (Aeschilmann) Porter
(Softball, 2000-2003) lettered four times for the Cavs' softball
team. Jaime, now entering her second season as Walsh's head
softball coach, can be found throughout the pitching record books.
She finished 8-5 as a freshman with a 1.56 ERA on a Walsh team that
reached the Elite Eight of the NAIA World Series. In 2001, she led
the staff with eight wins, 18 starts, 22 appearances, nine complete
games and a 1.74 ERA. She earned second-team All-AMC her junior
year (2003) after finishing 14-9 with 14 complete games, seven
shutouts and a 1.92 ERA. She also hit .297 with four home runs and
17 RBI. Jaime's senior year was her finest as she was accorded
first-team All-AMC honors after finishing 15-5 with a 1.13 ERA on
Walsh's AMC championship and NAIA National Qualifying team. Jaime
led the staff with 20 starts and six shutouts. Her ERA was also the
lowest on the team and she tied for the team lead in victories. She
was also a weapon at the plate, leading the team with 49 RBI while
hitting .306 with 14 doubles and four home runs. She is still third
in career appearances (89), games started (74), innings pitched
(474), strikeouts (289) and ERA (1.64). She is fourth in wins (46)
and complete games (42). She is also eighth in career doubles (31),
sixth in home runs (13), and seventh in RBI (96).
