Judy Green, Ph.D., P.C.C., N.C.C., N.C.S.C.

Associate Professor of Counseling and Human Development

Dr. Green joined the Walsh faculty in 1999.  She holds both a Professional Clinical Counselor license with supervisory status from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board as well as a permanent Ohio School Counseling (K-12) license from the Ohio Department of Education.  Additionally, Dr. Green is credentialed through the National Board of Certified Counselors as both a National Certified Counselor and as a National Certified School Counselor.  She has a Ph.D. in Counsleing and Human Development Services as well as two Masters Degrees, one in Early Childhood Development, the other in School Counseling.

Dr. Green brings significant experience to her teaching both as a former school counselor and as a current clinical counselor.  She worked 30 years in the public schools as a teacher and school counselor before joining the Walsh staff.  Since 1995 she worked as an adjunct faculty member in Counseling and Human Development Services at Kent State University as well as a mental health counselor in private practice.  She was priviledged to serve as a Disaster Mental Health Counselor for the Red Cross at Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City.  Her professional interests include grief and trauma counseling, working as a volunteer mental health counselor for the local Red Cross, women's issues, child and adolescent counseling, and training both school and mental health counselors.

In her free time, Dr. Green enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, two married children and three grandchildren.
