Kevin Longanecker - Head Golf Coach 

Kevin Longanecker begins his first year as Head Women’s Golf Coach and Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Walsh.  Longanecker replaces Karley Mohler, who resigned in last May. 

Longanecker is a 1985 graduate of Kent State University, who most recently taught at Stow High School (OH) and was the junior varsity boys’ basketball coach.  He is being reunited with Walsh University Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Laurel Wartluft, whom he served under as a student assistant coach at Kent State in 1984-85. 

He has served as a head high school coach at Kent Roosevelt High School (OH) (2001-2005), Salem High School (OH) (1994-1998) and Big Spring High School (PA) (1991-1994).  Longanecker was a basketball assistant coach at Cloverdale High School (IN) (1987-1989), Bristol High School (OH) (1985-87, 1983-84).  He was also the Head Golf Coach at Cloverdale.  He also coached track and football at Cloverleaf.

Longanecker played varsity basketball, football and track at Astoria High School (1978-1980) and played basketball at Kent State-Trumbull (1982-83).  He graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in secondary education (1985). 

He resides in Kent, Ohio with his wife, Janet, and their three children.
