Kevin Longanecker - Head Golf Coach
Kevin Longanecker begins his third year as head golf coach. After a 5th place finish at the AMC Championships in 2008, Longanecker led the Cavs to overall record of 53-27 last year and the AMC Championship. He is also an assistant women's basketball coach.
Longanecker is a 1985 graduate of Kent State University, who most recently taught at Stow High School (OH) and was the junior varsity boys’ basketball coach.
He has served as a head high school coach at Kent Roosevelt High School (OH) (2001-2005), Salem High School (OH) (1994-1998) and Big Spring High School (PA) (1991-1994). Longanecker was a basketball assistant coach at Cloverdale High School (IN) (1987-1989), Bristol High School (OH) (1985-87, 1983-84). He was also the Head Golf Coach at Cloverdale. He also coached track and football at Cloverdale.
Longanecker played varsity basketball, football and track at Astoria High School (1978-1980) and played basketball at Kent State-Trumbull (1982-83). He graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in secondary education (1985).
He resides in Kent, with his wife, Janet, and their three children.
