Esther, Namugumya

 

Professor Esther is an instructor at the Walsh University Kisubi Brothers Centre of the Uganda Martyrs University, as well as Supervisor of the Culminating Experience for the MAEd Program.  She has an Master of Arts in Education in Management and Planning from Nkumba University.  Professor Esther has a Bachelor of Arts in Education also from Nkumba University.  She also holds a certificate in Computer Applications and a Diploma from Kyambogo University. 

 

 

Teaching

Professor Esther teaches courses at the Walsh University Kisubi Brothers Centre of the Uganda Martyrs University.  She teaches research, practices of education administration, leadership, contemporary issues in Education, and many other courses.  She also serves as Tutor and Assistant Registrar at Ggaba Teachers’ College and an Administrative Advisor to Irima Pfeipfer Secondary School.  She has previous teaching experience at St. Andrew Kaggwa S.S.

 

Scholarship

Professor Esther has various research projects.  Most recently she has created study modules for distance learners regarding academic support to students.  She also has conducted research in leadership skills of academic staff, leader personality, and communication skills.   She has also published a childen’s book entitled “The Truth of Grey Island.”

 

Service

Professor Esther has participated in a variety of seminars, lectures,and workshops—with topics ranging from assessment to supervision of teachers and students.
