Katorokire, Rev. Fr. Innocent

Father Katorokire is both a Catholic Priest and Instructor at the Walsh University Kisubi Brothers Centre of the Uganda Martyrs University.  He has over 21 years of experience.   He attended Makerere University Kampala, in Uganda, where he is A.B.D. in his doctoral program in Education (Management, Planning, and Administration).   Father Katorokire  also holds a certificate in French, an M.A. in Human Rights, and a post-graduate diploma in Education from Makerere University.  He has a Bachelor of Theology and Bachelor of Theology from Urbanian University in Rome, Italy.  Dr. Katorokire also has a Diploma in Religious studies from Gaba National Major Seminary and Katigondo National Major Seminary in Religious Studies and Philosophy.

Teaching

Father Katorokire brings a great deal of experience to Walsh.  He teaches courses at the Walsh University Kisubi Brothers Centre of the Uganda Martyrs University.  His courses include Educational Management, Sociology of Education, Psychology of Education, Curriculum Theory and Practice, Curriculum and Teaching, and Human Rights.  He has served as a Teacher and Dean of Studies for Kitabi Minor Seminary.  He was Supervisor of Schools for the Uganda Martyrs Parish.

Scholarship

Father Katorokire has numerous publications, seminars, lectures, and conferences.  He has presented/published regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Service

Father Katorokire is a member of the Uganda Catholic Priest Association and the Uganda Teachers’ Association.  He serves as a Board Member for the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).  Father Katorokire is also on the Editorial Team for the Journal of Ethics at Makerere University.  He also serves as Managing Director of the Kyemengo Coffee Project.  Father Katorokire served as Chairman, Consultant, and Director of Human Rights and Democracy in Practice (HURIDEP) in Makerere University.
