Master of Arts in Theology

Answering the Call to Serve

It's possibly the only calling in which one is required to serve in order to lead. A theology-based profession demands a dedication to God's plan and an uncompromising willingness to help others. The Walsh University Master of Arts in Theology program prepares contemporary Christian leaders for the challenges of ministering in a changing world…a world in which the need for pastoral leadership extends beyond the boundaries of the church building.

The Walsh program offers four tracks:

  • Parish Administration
  • Pastoral Ministry
  • Religious Education
  • Academic, non-terminal track (provides a stepping stone to pursuing a Ph.D.)

Whether you are currently in ministry or have recently been called to give back in the form of service, the Master of Arts in Theology program will prepare you to take your faith into the community and the world. Through our graduate theology program, we help our students turn theory into practice and respond effectively to today's spiritual needs.

Graduates of the program may serve in churches and various other ministry settings, facilitating retreats or other spiritual programs; or may serve as parish administrators or parish office managers. Walsh University can help you in your journey to serve, and help you in your intellectual journey towards an advanced degree in theology.
